TEAM Talk Special: Pixels vs. Spoons

The TEAM Talk – our interactive online format for knowledge exchange – is entering the next round! One hour. A theme. Short – crisp – intense. From 2023 there will also be the TEAM Talk Special. We invite external speakers to talk to you about your topic.

TEAM Talk Special: On April 19, 2023, Nadja Naenni and Andrea Patrizi from the University of Zurich will be guests. Her topic is “Pixels vs. Spoons” – data collection using an intraoral scanner versus conventional impression taking.

TEAM talk special: Wednesday, April 19, 2023 (17:00 p.m. – 18:30 p.m.) via ZOOM

“In which situations does digital impression making make sense and is there still room for conventional impression taking in our daily work? In the TEAM talk, the advantages of conventional and digital impressions are highlighted and discussed. But the advantages of one approach can at best be seen as disadvantages of the other approach. Are we making ourselves too dependent on external, uncontrollable factors by going digital? Can we still oversee and influence the entire workflow in the dentistry/dental technology team? This online session is intended to provide a deeper insight into everyday clinical and dental technology. The weak points or plus points of the two possible paths are highlighted using case studies. And perhaps the currently best solution is a symbiosis of both systems?!”

Our two guests: Nadja Naenni and Andrea Patrizi

  • Nadja Naenni: Senior physician, specialist in reconstructive dentistry, Clinic for crown and bridge prosthetics, partial dentures and dental materials science, Center for Dentistry (ZZM), University of Zurich
  • ZT Andrea Patrizi: Dental technician, Center for Dentistry (ZZM) University of Zurich

The special feature of the TEAM talk (online) is the high practical relevance and the format of a talk session. Targeted questions are discussed from the different perspectives of EADT eV (dentistry, dental technology, science and dental technology). Participants receive reliable, well-founded information for everyday work and can ask questions.

The number of participants is limited to ensure maximum exchange of knowledge. As an EADT member, participation is free of charge. Free places will be released to interested parties (non-members) one week before the TEAM talk (participation is free).
