Berlin, March 2016: In March 2016, the founding of the Fachgesellschaft Zahntechnik (FZT) was announced. EADT eV is a founding member.
The FZT is a powerful umbrella organization of five dental technical institutions. The members of the associations organize themselves together under the umbrella of the FZT through collective memberships. The umbrella organization takes on administrative tasks. The merger in the FZT allows us as EADT eV to concentrate fully on our core tasks. Scientific transfer is our competence and we will bring this area to life at the FZT. The club activities, priorities and traditions remain with the individual clubs. The board of the professional society is recruited from the boards of the associations. Hubert Schenk, Munich, was elected as president. The office of vice presidents is held by Andreas Kunz, Berlin and Björn Roland, Klein-Winternheim.

The FZT sees itself as a driver of innovative dental technology. As a specialist society, it examines the importance of new procedures for modern dental technology and serves as a contact for all questions relating to dental prosthetics and materials science for colleagues, dentists, patients, other specialist societies and the dental industry.
