Review: TEAM talk get-together in Berlin

EADT TEAM talk

What an inspiring evening in the capital! Our first TEAM Talk regulars' table took place in Berlin at the beginning of June, and it was a complete success. We would like to thank all participants – your commitment and enthusiasm made this evening something very special!

A very special thank you goes to Dr. med. dent. Maria Bruhnke. With her lecture “Restorative border areas – tooth preservation or implant?” she not only shared valuable knowledge, but also stimulated a lively discussion.

TEAM talk regulars' table

EADT eV stands for close interdisciplinary collaboration. Our members from the areas of dentistry, dental technology, science, dental technology and the dental industry meet at our regional TEAM-Talk regulars' tables.

Dr. Maria Bruhnke is a prosthetics specialist and has been working on the restoration of severely damaged teeth for years, with the tooth root playing a central role. When teeth are deeply damaged, the question often arises as to whether tooth preservation is possible or whether an implant is a better solution.

Her presentation highlighted the complex decision-making processes and introduced orthodontic extrusion as a method to preserve and restore deeply damaged teeth. This approach as well as the limitations, advantages and disadvantages were discussed, also in comparison to implant prosthetic care, reflecting time and cost effectiveness as well as the patient perspective. Her presentation highlighted the complexity of the decisions and underlined the importance of in-depth specialist knowledge and interdisciplinary collaboration. The subsequent discussion was characterized by a lively exchange in which participants from various areas of dentistry, dental technology, science and dental technology shared their perspectives and experiences.

This interdisciplinary interaction is a core part of our club's work and also of the EADT regulars' tables. This makes it possible to think outside the box and develop solutions to challenges together.

The after-talk dinner offered the perfect opportunity to continue the discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. It was not only a culinary delight, but also a source of inspiration - a wonderful combination of good food and stimulating conversations.

It continues: EADT TEAM talk regulars' table

For us as EADT, such events are more than just meetings; they are a platform for growth, learning and community building. The evening in Berlin was a great example of how we can grow together by exchanging knowledge and experiences. We are now looking forward to the next two dates for the TEAM Talk regulars’ table.

  • November 14th in Frankfurt (in cooperation with Kuraray Noritake)
  • February 20th in Munich / restaurant Camers (in cooperation with Amann Girrbach)

On both dates we will once again “take apart” an exciting specialist topic in a great location. It promises to be a great evening with in-depth technical discussions and exquisite cuisine.
