Our TEAM-Talk Special 2026 will take place on June 11, 2026: “Implant-prosthetic treatment of the edentulous upper jaw”. A completely edentulous upper jaw is not a routine case. It presents a biomechanical challenge, an aesthetic task, and requires collaborative teamwork all at once. This is precisely what we will be discussing – live, on-site, in dialogue. We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Stefan Wolfart as our guest for the TEAM-Talk Special 2026 in Bonn.
Some topics deserve a special stage. And some locations are more than just a backdrop. Our TEAM-Talk Special 2026 will take place live this time in the new teaching building of the Dental Clinic at the University Hospital Bonn (UKB); one of the most modern locations for dentistry in Germany – both architecturally and technologically. Over 5.400 square meters of teaching and simulation space, digital and analog patient simulations, virtual 3D dental treatments – practical. Interdisciplinary. Future-oriented. As a science campus that fosters exchange, it's a fitting location for the EADT eV.
TEAM Talk Special 2026
Thursday, June 11, 2026 (18:30 PM – 19:30 PM), Location: University Hospital Bonn (Teaching Building of the Dental Clinic, UKB)

TEAM Talk Special: What can you expect?
Implant-supported prosthetic restoration of the edentulous maxilla is one of the most demanding tasks in implant prosthetics. Anatomy, function, aesthetics, patient preference – and last but not least, the question of the number of implants, their distribution, and the loading protocol – must be translated into a coherent overall concept.
The current S3 guideline provides an evidence-based foundation. But what does that mean specifically for clinical practice and laboratories?
- When is a fixed implant appropriate – when is a removable one?
- How crucial is backward planning really?
- Where are the biomechanical limits?
- What role do primary stability and support polygons play?
- How much standardization is possible – how much individualization is necessary?

The TEAM Talk focuses on three key questions, which we will examine from the perspective of the EADT eV – dentistry, dental technology, materials science, and the dental industry. Participants will receive insights for their daily work and can contribute their own questions and comments.
Central questions
- Planning and indicationHow does backward planning influence the decision between fixed and removable prostheses – functionally, aesthetically, and biologically?
- Number and distribution of implantsWhat does the evidence say about the minimum number of implants in the edentulous maxilla – and what prosthetic consequences result?
- Long-term success and aftercareWhat biological and technical complications are realistic – and how do we structure recall and risk management effectively?
TEAM Talk: Not a traditional lecture. But a dialogue – this time in person.
Registration
Participation is limited. EADT members have priority access. We look forward to discussing these topics with you in person – in an environment that makes the future visible.
Dinner Talk: Exchange beyond the presentation
Afterwards, the EADT eV invites everyone to a joint dinner. Time for conversation, in-depth discussions, and new contacts – away from the stage and moderation.
TEAM talk as part of the DGPro annual conference
On Friday, June 12th, the EADT eV will be organizing the Materials Science Forum there – another interdisciplinary focus between dentistry, dental technology, science and industry.
