New ideas emerge at the interfaces: in university research as well as in dental technology, or through practical solutions in the laboratory and in practice. This is precisely where the joint innovation prize of the German Society for Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials (DGPro) and the European Association of Dental Technology (EADT) comes in.
The Innovation Prize recognizes innovative contributions that open up new perspectives for prosthetic dentistry and connect science, dental technology and clinical practice.
What can be submitted?
We are seeking scientific, technical, and practice-oriented contributions with a clear connection to prosthetic dentistry. These may include, for example:
- scientific papers with new findings,
- new materials and biomaterials,
- innovative processes and digital technologies,
- technical developments,
- new or improved workflows,
- Concepts and practical solutions.
It doesn't necessarily have to be a finished product or a completely new development. The well-founded further development of an existing process, an intelligent workflow, or a technical solution can also be award-worthy. The crucial factor is that it is presented in a comprehensible manner.
- what the innovation consists of,
- which distinguishes this contribution from previous methods or procedures and
- what added value it offers for prosthetic dentistry.
Science, practice and dental technology considered together
The Innovation Prize is aimed at various disciplines and qualification levels. Dentists, dental technicians, members of related fields, as well as students and trainees are eligible to apply. Submissions are welcome from individuals or teams. With this prize, DGPro and EADT bring together scientific research, clinical application, dental technology, and dental engineering. It is precisely at these interfaces that solutions emerge which can provide new impetus for prosthetic care.
Innovation Award 2027
The Innovation Prize is awarded annually and comes with a €5.000 prize. The prize money is shared equally by DGPro and EADT. Full terms and conditions of participation, formal requirements, and submission details can be found in the official DGPro announcement.
